Workshop

Had a lovely morning on the workshop i did. The three ladys that came this morning were lovely and made some really nice purses out of recycled materials.
It was a pleasure to meet them and i hope we will meet again in the ftre.

This afternoons workshop was great fun. Unfortunatley i only had one lady attend this, she had been in the morning workshop and was a real pleasure to teach.
The workshop was making a cushion from recycled materials.
The finished cushion was really nice and it was decorated with some lovely buttons.
I had a really good day and met three really nice ladys:)
Hope to be starting a evening class in the next couple of months and have now booked the studio for two workshops, so watch this space!!

Baby Bumper Pack:)

Been a busy week so far.
I was given a nice little project by a friend of mine. Her niece is expecting her first baby and she loved these curtains but couldn't find any accessories to go with them. She wanted a blanket and some sheets, so asked me if i could make any thing with the curtains.
After having a look to see how big they were i set to work. The baby blanket is lightly padded, not to thick so the baby wouldn't get to hot. The sheets were easy but that left a fair bit of material left. Bags always come in handy for all those essential things you need to take out with you. The bag has a white fleecy lining with a divider inside and a pocket on the front. The personalised bunting will look nice on the wall above the cot and a small cushion with the baby's name just finishes it all of.

Close up of blanket, cushion and bunting.

The whole package:)

I really enjoyed making this, it was something i hadn't done for a while, all my children are grown up and i think it will be a few years  before i become i granny!!!!

More Bags!

 Another selection of handmade bags.
The top two are scarf bags. These are easy to make and are quirky and fun. They both have small inside pockets and pockets on the front. Both bags have button deal on them each with tassells on the bottom of the bag. The straps are long as, being a small person, i only ever made them to my height. Lots of people are just a tiny bit taller than me:)
The third bag is made from a pair of denim trousers with red gingham sewn on to give it that extra special look!!
All these bags and many more can be seen on my face book page or website.
Happy browsing

Bags!

This is one of the bags i have made in recent months. Its one of my favourites.
Made from a jumper with a diamond motif. The straps were made from the sleeves and the bag is lined with a green floral silky material. It has a pocket inside, big enough for a mobile phone and a pocket on the front, also there is a pocket on the strap, purely for show but can be used.
Three green buttons are sewn on to the top of the bag with press studs for closing.
This is a sweet little jumper bag that is big enough for a purse and diary and the odd action figure (thanks to my nine year old son:D).
Something that is different and that nobody else will have.!!!

Have fun looking at my bags.

Summer Bunting

Have posted a few pictures of bunting that i have made!!
It was fun and quick to make and using recycled materials ( of course ) made it all the more fun.
Ranging from curtains to bed linen and left over fabric remnants, this bunting is light and floaty. It looks lovely in the garden, and is washable so it can be used again and again.
There is some sweet nursery bunting that would be great in a little boys room.
To see more please feel free to look at my face book page-bags&more or my website-www.bagsbuyme.co.uk.
You can email me or leave a message if you would like to purchase bunting, bags or my ceramics.

Thanks
