This sample woven on the jacquard and then the small diamond shapes were cut out and turned over to give the opposite colour. It was then ironed onto to some cotton that had had bondaweb ironed on so it would all be kept in place. Amazing stuff, bondaweb!!!!

Another sample woven on the Jacquard.

This as one of the samples i did on the Jacquard weave machine at uni for my tie project. The design is based on letters. They are made up of a large letter with a small letter inside them?! I spent hours drawing them in my sketch book and cutting the small letters out!!!It took forever but looked good.
I applied this to my weave design and the results(as you will see in other samples) looked really effective.
This sample was pieced together and some of the weave was cut back on each side.

Close up of last sample.

Design work for my second project. This was taken from my sketch book and enlarged on the computer for the laser cutter. The design was cut out in the material using the laser cutter at uni.
was very impressed and looked good when held up to the window!!

Hand woven sample with appliqued flowers on, applied with bondaweb.Edges finished with blanket stitch.
Close up of last two weave samples.
Two fine hand woven samples. This was a different warp but i had to change it as the threads were very fine and broke alot!!!!
The second sample has two gaps in the weave, these were made by inserting a ruler in between the threads and weaving after it. When it was taken out it gave the open look that is seen!
Broidere anglaise flowers and edgings were stitched on after.
Closer look at weave detail on last sample.

Three more hand woven samples, one with a crocheted edge and one with broidere anglaise stitched on.
Different angle on the last sample.
Hand woven on the hand loom. this was the last sample and there was quite a bit of warp left so i did a sort of tie and knot experiment!
Looks better than i thought it would!
Hand woven with added wool to give a fluffy effect.
Green wool scarf added to bottom with tasseled stitch and blanket stitch around the edges.
Weave samples from my second year at uni.
These were done on the hand loom and then crochet flowers and border stitched on two of the samples. Cut out leaf patten added using bondaweb.
